France thumped Poland to make their way into the FIFA World Cup quarterfinal in Qatar. Although it was largely a comfortable game for the French squad, it wasn’t too smooth for Jules Kounde. The French defender had to stop his game before the first half and take off something that helped him ‘transform’ into Lewis Hamilton.

The match officials stopped the last-16 game between France and Poland for Kounde in the 42nd minute. The referee then ordered the Frenchman to remove a chain from his neck. Since it is considered dangerous, soccer stars are not allowed to wear them during matches.
This might look like just another regulatory check, but it was not. It has got a lot to do with Hamilton and his sense of style. According to Italian media outlet Calciatori Brutti, they found the Barcelona player’s diary where the Mercedes star was mentioned.
A tweet from the Italian media outlet stated, “From Jules Koundé’s diary dated 4/12/22: “The process of transforming into Lewis Hamilton is going well. Today I also put on necklaces to look even more like him, I hope no one discovers me. I’m sure everything will be fine.”
As Kounde was finally caught by the match officials, the tweet further said, “We’ve caught you by now, Jules.”
Not only Kounde but Lewis Hamilton also suffered the same fate
Lewis Hamilton has always been fond of wearing jewelry. Flaunting them, the F1 star would often visit the paddock. However, the Silver Arrows ace was also asked to stop with that since FIA banned jewelry, citing risk factors.

The rule that bans jewelry states, “The wearing of jewelry in the form of body piercing or metal neck chains is prohibited during the competition and may therefore be checked before the start.” The seven-time world champion, however, once defied this law and was summoned over for the breach.
Soon after Hamilton finished his final free practice session in Singapore this year, the race stewards announced an investigation on the Briton. The alleged breach of FIA’s International Sporting Code at the Marina Bay Circuit ultimately got the former McLaren driver called to the stewards’ office.
