Sometimes, even the title ‘Global Icon’ falls short of describing Lewis Hamilton. Apart from having 7 world championships and 200 podium trophies from his day job of racing cars, the Briton found time to build charitable foundations like Mission 44 and The Hamilton Commission from scratch. His historic 2025 move to Ferrari brings a $400 million boost to his foundations, apart from a $100 million salary for him. Furthermore, Hamilton has now taken his societal commitments to the next level with CFI Financial Group, a leading trading broker.
Taking to Instagram, the Mercedes driver announced his partnership with CFI. The Global Financial company, through a post of its own, announced Lewis Hamilton as their Global Brand Ambassador on a multi-year agreement. In their official statement, CFI promised to donate to Hamilton’s Mission 44, which promotes diversity in STEM Education. CFI co-founder also Hisham Mansour referred to the 7-time champion as a “global icon”.
Hamilton also released a statement, saying, “I’m excited to join CFI as their Global Brand Ambassador. This partnership aligns with our shared drive for excellence and innovation. Just as I strive for peak performance in everything I do, I am impressed by CFI’s dedication to provide best-in-class tools and conditions for their clients. Together, we aim to inspire and have a positive impact, and I’m looking forward to empowering their global community,” he concluded.

This partnership is another feather in the Briton’s cap, which boasts of sponsorships with some of the world’s best corporate players. Tommy Hilfiger, Monster Energy, Puma, and IWC are some of the big names in this list of biggies. While reading this, a question must surely pop up in your mind: will his sponsors tag along when he switches teams next year?
From Mercedes to Ferrari: Will Lewis Hamilton’s sponsors change loyalty?
As Lewis Hamilton moves from Mercedes’ UK base to Ferrari‘s Italy base, complex changes are incoming. After his historic British GP victory, he revealed how a “daunting” challenge awaits him at Ferrari. He fears the cultural changes of moving to Maranello the most, having only raced for British teams in F1 (McLaren and Mercedes). Will he at least have the comfort of his years-long sponsors accompanying him during this challenging phase?
“I don’t know,” Hamilton told Crash.net during the Spanish GP, addressing the sponsor situation. “I don’t know exactly what I’m doing with the team,” he added. The Briton then specifically spoke about Tommy Hilfiger, a sponsor who he cares for deeply and who has helped him channel his inner fashion designer. “I’ve brought them to the team a long time ago now. And, we’re still doing collabs with young designers this year, [something] this weekend. I don’t know what the team’s plan is going on, but we probably have our own thing going on, so they won’t be coming to Ferrari with us,” he concluded.

This could be true for most of his sponsors, who might stick with Mercedes. He could have non-Mercedes-related involvement with them, but the answer is no. Hamilton won’t have his otherwise loyal companions with him when he drives for F1’s biggest brand in 2025. But that shouldn’t be an issue at all. His success hasn’t come from staying in his comfort zone nor will it vanish when he changes the course of his destiny, draped in the Scarlet Red overalls. One thing is for sure – through his voice and his charitable foundations, he’ll leave the world a better place than he found it.
