“It was supposed to come a lot later in the season and the whole factory was just flat-out these last few months, because of the situation, to try and bring it earlier.” These statements from Carlos Sainz capture the Maranello camp’s thirst for excellence. The upgrades the Scuderia introduced in Spain yesterday were originally scheduled to show up much later in the season, but their predicament forced them to introduce it much earlier, and with the disappointing results it brought at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, team’s star driver Charles Leclerc remained dissatisfied. The upbeat team boss, Frederic Vasseur has nevertheless reassured his driver.

Since the start of this season, the Ferrari team has done everything in its power to defeat Red Bull, its competitor from the previous year, yet it appears that the stars haven’t quite lined up for them to achieve the desired outcomes. The Monaco race, in which the Ferrari team once again failed to place in the top three, is one of the many events the Prancing Horse might want to forget this year.

This caused the team to bring the upgrades to Spanish GP earlier than expected. However, they weren’t up to par. As a result, Charles Leclerc expressed his discontent. According to the Monegasque, “he’s not expecting any big miracles, to be honest.” While adding further, he said, “From now on, we want to try and bring some small upgrades every race. This one should go in the right direction, but I don’t think it will be a massive change.”

The team’s performance during the practice session at Barcelona Circuit was disappointing since the Ferrari had previously adopted an in-wash solution following the introduction of new aerodynamic rules last year. Whereas the Prancing Horse has subsequently switched to a downwash. It is claimed that Red Bull’s setup was the concept’s primary inspiration. The situation has been extremely challenging for Ferrari. However, now Frederic Vasseur has comforted his squad.

As per Speedcafe, the Frenchman said,It’s a change for sure, but it’s not a new car, We are making a step forward and we are opening some doors for the development for the future, but it’s not a complete change.”
