The human race has arguably not come across anything as disruptive as the Covid-19 pandemic in recent history. The human and financial impact of the virus has been immeasurable. However, despite the ongoing threat, we have learned to live with it. The current F1 season is proof that there is little to no fear among the fans.

The latest example to support the claim will be the upcoming Singapore GP. The Marina Bay Street Circuit will host a race after two years of absence from the calendar. To mark this occasion, Singapore will leave no stone unturned.

The Grand Prix, coupled with the SuperReturn summit will be a tremendous boost to Singapore’s economy. Getting on the high already is the hotel industry of the Island country.

According to Bloomberg, top hotels like Marina Bay and the storied Raffles Hotel are sold out for the month of September. This is especially not because of cheap tariffs. On the contrary, the hotel rooms are going for $2000 dollars per night. Bloomberg also reports even before the surge, accommodation costs peaked in the last decade.

Nobody wants to miss out on this opportunity of witnessing F1 racing and the plethora of summits in the coming months. “It’s Super Return and F1. Everyone wants to be in town,” said Ian Lee, deputy CFO of Chinese biotech startup XtalPi.

Westlife and Green Day will also make an appearance. And there will be much more to look forward to on the track, especially for all the fans of Max Verstappen.

Realistically, the 2022 championship title is already sealed and delivered to the Dutch Red Bull pilot. However, mathematically, other drivers still stand a chance against the Dutchman. Although Verstappen can make the math simpler at the upcoming Singapore GP.

Verstappen heads into the weekend with a 116-point lead over second-best Charles Leclerc and a further 9-points behind is his teammate Sergio Perez. Simply put, to wrap up the title in Singapore, the Dutchman needs to outscore Leclerc by 22 points, Perez by 13, and Mercedes’ George Russell by 6.
