Finally! Finally, after all the fiasco involving Fernando Alonso’s podium, we can all lay our phones down as the Saudi Arabian GP has reached the desired end and the trophy for P3 has reached the Silverstone factory of Aston Martin in a fantastic fashion. And the execution of the whole process was no less than a masterpiece!

Fernando Alonso handed the trophy over to George Russell until the result was reversed again. So, taking the opportunity, Russell and Alonso have continued their bromance after iconic pictures of the duo surfaced from a party. On social media, the two have exchanged comments back and forth that we just can’t stop adoring. Moreover, the classy act by Mercedes and Russell won all the hearts yet again, as the Spaniard lauded their effort.

Not only has the incident brought everyone together, especially the drivers, but it has also united the fans against the actions of the FIA. Both the drivers and their fans had to endure the pendulum of calls made by the FIA, something that has set an even lower bar for their judgments, stringing calls for 2021 championship reversal. However, a hilarious end and a classy act by Mercedes brought the whole episode to an end as well as it could’ve been.

Fernando Alonso thanks George Russell

George Russell has been a class act since his debut at Mercedes. After the podium was taken away from Alonso and handed to him, he remarked strongly, as quoted by the Express, “I feel like some of these penalties have been a little bit too extreme. I think a little bit of common sense needs to be shown.” Further, he welcomed the decision, and the trophy-handing ceremony was just too good to be true and left us in splits.

The foremost comment itself was that of Fernando Alonso himself, as he acknowledged Russell’s sportsmanship by saying, “😂😂😂 Grande Jorge 🤝🤝”. While the others rallied behind, saying, “Is the cost of the delivery counted in the costcap😂”, “The whole situation created by FIA was embarrassing for all involved, but Mercedes wrapped the mess with a classy and funny act. 👏👏👏👏👏” and “FiA did bro dirty 💀”

Other fans also took a light-hearted dig on Mercedes and George, saying, “The seatbelt>>>>”, “He probably came back with the engine they gave Aston. 🤨🥴” and “George the type of guy to wear gloves to hold a trophy”.

All’s well that ends well. Both the drivers can now put the fiasco behind them and focus on the next weekend, i.e., the Australian GP. With Russell and Hamilton’s P4 and P5, respectively, Mercedes must be feeling hot finishing ahead of Ferrari.
