Last year, Ferrari experienced grief once more when the squad was unable to win the championship. The Maranello-based outfit had great expectations after starting the season strong. However, the team’s strategic blunders, driver’s errors, and reliability problems cost them the championship, and they ultimately placed second. Nevertheless, Ferrari underwent a fundamental change after last season when the team’s principal was replaced, and the new team head, Frederic Vasseur, has since issued a challenge to star drivers Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

In his fair warning to the Red Bull and Mercedes drivers, team boss Frederick Vasseur showcased faith by saying that the Scuderia has everything in place and will undoubtedly go for victories. As quoted by Express, Vasseur remarked, “When you are in a top team, you can’t have another target than to win. You can’t start the season saying you are happy with P2 – it would be a lack of ambition. We have everything to do a good job and the target has to be to win.”
His assertion suggests that the Prancing Horse is definitely planning something significant. The remarks differ dramatically from those of the previous team manager Mattia Binotto, who continually emphasized that the group needed to improve before they could compete at the top.
Vasseur’s remarks amply show his desire to revive Ferrari’s fortunes after years of disappointment.

The most well-known team in Formula 1 has started reviewing its processes in light of the issues that jeopardized its 2022 campaign. Formula 1 has now put a “freeze” on power unit development, while reliability updates are still allowed. Vasseur warns that any improvements in dependability and performance won’t be evident until the squad takes the track in Bahrain next month.
Talking to Racingnews365, Vasseur said, “We have made some step [for power unit], but it’s just about reliability.” He continued, “I think the performance last year was not an issue at all, but the issue was the reliability and the first target is to fix it. So far it looks okay, but the reality on the track is a different perspective. Everybody will have a much better picture in Bahrain.”
