Spanish F1 driver Carlos Sainz saw his dream come true with a ride that he will never forget. As the Italian team’s driver got his hands on the rare Ferrari machine, he could not be more ecstatic than he actually was. Sharing his experience on social media, Sainz conveyed it all.

Sainz, who drove the iconic Dino 246 GT a year ago, recently got his hands on the incredible Ferrari 412P on the Fiorano circuit in Emilia-Romagna. This was the same car that finished in the third position in the Daytona race in 1967 and later on was relieved and restored by Ferrari. According to reports, the car currently costs anywhere around $19.4 Million.

Sainz Jr. got his hands on the car and posted on Instagram about it. Sainz, who uses 55 as his driver number, drove the incredible 55-year-old Ferrari machine. A lovely coincidence. In the Instagram post, the former McLaren driver shared, “A dream come true. Grazie @Ferrari”

According to scuderiafans.com, Talking about his experience after driving the 412P, Sainz shared, “That was very exciting. I had never driven any Sports Prototype car before, let alone one from this era and it really was completely different to anything else I have driven before today. Only Ferrari can allow you to experience something like this.”
Carlos Sainz looking forward to contest the 2023 title fight
As the 2022 F1 season is nearing an end with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen already picked up the driver’s championship, Carlos Sainz has a plan for the future. The Spaniard wants to be a part of the next year’s title contest and he wants it right from the start.

Talking to AS, the 28-year-old driver shared, “My goal is to be World Champion one day. I hope if there is a good car again next year, I can be in the fight from the start. Not to drop off in that first half because I know once I’m in the fight, I’m capable of staying in the fight. That will be the goal.”
Sainz, whose current season was jeopardized by reliability issues at Ferrari, is focused on the next year. It was not only the DNFs that hurt the Madrid-based driver but also a bit of bad luck and crashes that ruined his 2022 season.
