One of the best teams in Formula 1 history appears to be having trouble winning podiums this year. Due to a string of disappointments for both the team management and the fans, the Maranello-based organization severed connections with Italian Engineer Mattia Binotto last year. Soon after the Italian engineer resigned, Alfa Romeo’s Frederic Vasseur was burdened with the high expectations of the Tifosi fans. However, the team has fallen short of expectations this year as well and continues to struggle with several problems. Meanwhile, the Prancing Horse has been told to “grow up” and be ” transparent” on their issues.

The team was successful in building a quick car under Binotto’s leadership, to the point where it could compete for the championship against Max Verstappen and company for the first half of the previous season. Unfortunately, the team was beset by numerous troubles, including concerns about reliability, driver error, and strategy failure, which resulted in Chalers Leclerc losing the fight with the Dutchman.

And the Tifosi predicted that this year the squad may certainly put up a fight against Red Bull as they saw the team’s new hierarchical structure. This, however, did not take place, and the team continues to struggle with reliability and pace concerns, as witnessed in the first two races of the current season. Rob Smedley, who worked as an engineer at Ferrari for ten years, pointed out some of the Scuderia’s issues and advised the team to grow up during an interview on the most recent episode of the Sky Sports F1 podcast with Matt Baker, Matt Gallagher.

Red Bull’s brutal pace has made it appear as if Charles Leclerc’s chances of winning the title are dwindling. Citing that, he said, Understand the problems, you know, like I really say that the first rule of solving the problem is you got to admit that you’ve got one. So as long as they’re all grown up about it and they’re able to just say look, we’ve got a problem. Let’s be transparent about it. Here are the areas of the car that have a problem. Here are the areas of the operation and the business that also has a property.”

Adding further, he said, “It’s never one thing. There’s no magic puller. As long as you’re all ready to come together as a group of people, transparently identify your problems and then put a solution in place, then it’s light at the end of the tunnel. “

The team’s problems have prevented them from giving Charles Leclerc, 25, a competitive car, and things are just getting worse for him. However, the Monegasque is attempting to think of good memories at this time to maintain his optimism.

Charles Leclerc remembers good memories to remain optimistic ahead of the Australian GP

Tifosi fans were attracted to Charles Leclerc as they believed that the talented Monegasque driver would win them the trophy. However, the team that was successful in creating a competitive car last season is still looking for methods to increase the true pace so that its drivers can contend for the championship. Unfortunately, until the next upgrade, the team has no real aspirations in sight.

Nonetheless, Leclerc tries to stay optimistic in the lead-up to this year’s Australian Grand Prix by remembering his victory from the previous year at the Melbourne track. Charles Leclerc stated during the pre-race press conference, “Yeah, good memories. I think clearly our performance is not as good as last year, but we are working massively to try and come back at the front.”

Showing some optimism, he said, “I don’t think there will be any miracles for this weekend, but after that, we’ve got three weeks break, and we’ll try to use it in the best way possible in order to bring upgrades as quickly as possible on the car.”
