After his podium exploits in Azerbaijan GP last weekend, Charles Leclerc is back to his days of struggle. The Miami GP turned out to be a disaster, as he only managed a P7 finish behind Lewis Hamilton. Carlos Sainz, on the other hand, finished in P5 despite starting the race from P3. The Monegasque expressed his helplessness in the post-race interview and fans are now going ballistic on Ferrari.

Leclerc never got off to a good start in Miami. First, he crashed in one of the free practice sessions and then again during qualifying. The Q3 crash put a huge dent in his podium aspirations as it saw him take P7 on the starting grid. Team boss Frederic Vasseur, however, did not blame his star driver and defended him for pushing the car to the limit.

Leclerc and Carlos Sainz did push hard to extract the best result they could in Miami, but the Red Bull duo was once again in a league of their own. Fernando Alonso too bounced back from his P4 finish in Baku to once again take the P3 on the podium. The 57-lap long race exposed Ferrari’s lack of race pace once again and Leclerc did not hold back during the post-race interview.

He said, “We have a lot of work to do. We need to find something now.”

“We are struggling in the race since a little bit of time now, we need to find solutions.” He added, “We have a lot of work to do, and we need to find something. That’s all I can say.”
