Charles Leclerc and Ferrari came to the Brazilian Grand Prix with high hopes. And the Monegasque driver delivered under pressure on Friday as he qualified P2 for the main race under treacherous conditions. However, it seems that it wasn’t meant to be for the Scuderia and Leclerc as his race came to an end even before it started. But what exactly happened?
Charles Leclerc started the formation lap and was set to line up P2 at the start. However, while warming up his tires, he seemed to have lost control of his car and crashed into the barrier. Everyone was stunned at the Monegasque’s bad luck. Some thought that he made a huge mistake on the warm-up lap instead. However, we soon got to hear what actually happened to him on the radio.
It was Leclerc’s fault as he came on the radio and explained how he lost the hydraulic pressure. Leclerc said, “I lost the hydraulics. Why am I so f**king unlucky.” As an aftermath of the heavy crash, Leclerc was still able to get his car moving but couldn’t make it back to the pits. Hence the race ended for the #16 driver even before it actually started.
