You do the crime and you do the time and pay the price. This is the law and even if some escape the justice, the perpetrators of the theft of the $2.2 million personalized Richard Mille of Charles Leclerc did not. The four-man team responsible for carrying out the theft of Leclerc’s luxury watch in Italy will finally be paying for their crime with the heftiest of fines–time!

As we all know, a year and a half ago ahead of the 2022 Emilia Romagna GP, the Monegasque chased down the goons in the streets of Viareggio, a municipality in the Lucca region in Italy, to recover his stolen watch. The well-executed plan with an escape route in mind helped the perpetrators get away. In fact, the thieves were even prepared for a chase down the streets of Italy as the two thieves who stole the watch and were in the getaway scooter were being shielded by their other two compatriots in an SUV.

However, the four could not escape the law forever. After the Spanish police recovered the watch, it was time for the thieves to face justice. Two out of the three men involved in the robbery were sentenced to 10 years & 8 months in prison, according to reports. The woman who stopped the Ferrari man for a selfie posing as fans received a reduced sentence of 6 years & 5 months. The three requested a quick trial and will be paying the price for the unsavory act for quite some time.

Leclerc might’ve been the most famous victim of the watch thieves from whom they stole the most expensive watch. However, this wasn’t the first rodeo of this gang of four. The Monegasque was a juicy target, but the gang started “small.”
