Max Verstappen is again in pole position for this weekend’s Dutch GP. No surprises there whatsoever. The 25-year-old put a stellar lap in at the end and finished over half a second clear of Lando Norris in P2. The story for another 25-year-old, Charles Leclerc was completely different as his painful reality is sympathized upon by fans during Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet’s cozy celebrations. But what happened?
After a forgettable Q1 when Charles Leclerc barely made it into Q2 after a Ferrari blunder, Q3 proved to be even trickier for the Monegasque. Leclerc ranted on the team radio after Q1 as he asked his engineer to not make a mess of the rest of the qualifying. However, who knew that it would be his mistake that would put an end to his session? Leclerc was on a lap after Logan Sargeant crashed and brought out the Red flag in Q3.

As Leclerc was pushing, he went a little beyond the limit and pinned his car in the wall after carrying too much speed into a corner on a track that was still damp in some parts. After crashing, the Monegasque jumped past the barrier and spent the rest of the session there as he saw Max Verstappen take the pole. A video has recently surfaced of Charles Leclerc looking at Verstappen celebrating the pole with GF Kelly Piquet.
The way Leclerc leans onto the barrier and watches Kelly Piquet hug Verstappen followed by a kiss is just heart-wrenching. It’s as if the Ferrari driver is just wondering ‘What did he do wrong to not have that?’ Fans sympathized with Leclerc after watching the video. Let’s see what they had to say.
