However, after showcasing a masterful bit of driving acumen and some really strong race pace in the end, the Spanish racing legend climbed all the way up to finish a brilliant P2. On his YouTube Channel, analyzing the Dutch GP, the ex-Ferrari manager said, “Yesterday, at Zandvoort, we saw Fernando Alonso in a big sweet spot of balance and predictability of what the car was going to do, giving him lots of confidence when the track was greasy and difficult.”
“And as a result, with the track position he had, he was totally on top of the car when the track dried out and he was on soft tires.”

He was quoted by BBC.com as saying, “It is underestimated sometimes what Max [Verstappen] is achieving. To win in such a dominant manner in any sport is so complicated.”
