The race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez might have been disappointing for Perez fans, but the Tifosi’s delight knew no bounds! After their golden boy, Charles Leclerc suffered a disqualification at the US GP, the Ferrari fans were looking down once again. But both Leclerc and Carlos Sainz put their SF-23s on the front row at the Mexican GP, sending the crowd wild! Naturally, fans are feeling secure after such a good result!
However, it might not last long! And the doomsayer’s identity might not sit well with the fans! It’s no secret that there has been some tension building up between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Sainz delivered the Tifosi their only win this season, but his mother might have raised some alarm bells after an insightful fan exposed her recent Twitter activity.

The fan took a big hint from a post that Sainz’s mother, Reyes Vázquez de Castro, had liked, which involved some information related to the number 1 driver battle within Ferrari. The post read, “Carlos Sainz is clear that he will only remain in Ferrari if Charles Leclerc leaves, a fact that seems complicated, so he will have no choice but to leave.”
Carlos Sainz might cause the Tifosi major heartbreak despite strong Mexican GP
The post suggests that Sainz had understood the internal battle with Leclerc meant there was no number one when it comes to the strategy calls, and it has often cost him. However, Charles Leclerc has always been Ferrari’s golden boy. After all, his mission is to fulfill his late godfather’s (Jules Bianchi) dream to win with Ferrari. A dream that was shattered after tragedy struck during the 2014 Suzuka GP.
