When Charles Leclerc arrived with his bags at Maranello, the Tifosi were overjoyed with the prospect of a future world champion. But in classic Ferrari fashion, the team has been scratching their heads trying to understand what’s the missing ingredient in their recipe for a championship-winning car.

However, Las Vegas could be a promising occasion for Ferrari, because the track consists of many high-speed turns and straights, making the overall set-up required similar to that in Monza. This only means one thing for Maranello – their SF-23 which prefers high-speed circuits could do even better than the RB-19 at the Las Vegas Street Circuit, and Ferrari’s boss is beaming with confidence as we return to sunny Nevada for the Las Vegas GP.

Frederic Vasseur is not having a great time trying to get the Maranello outfit back to winning ways, but the United States has cast a spell on Vasseur as he claims it will be a good outing for Ferrari if everything goes right. He was quoted by FormulaPassion, “We are confident that we will have cards to play, we must do so by supporting our drivers and putting them in a position to fight for the results that we know are within our reach.”

“We are delighted that Formula 1 is back in the spotlight in Las Vegas more than 40 years after the last time. Our sport has become increasingly popular in America over the last five years and the fact that this season we are racing for the third time in the United States is a confirmation of this new golden age for Formula 1 overseas. The United States is a special land for Ferrari, where we always find a lot of affection, and that’s also why we have dedicated a special livery to this race.

The Ferrari boss is hopeful that the track layout will work in Ferrari’s favor, and if they can stay on top of their strategy, Leclerc or Sainz could very well get Pole and also the win. With this being the first outing for teams at the brand-new circuit, it’s bound to throw a lot of unknowns into the equation. But Vasseur also shed light on the Ferrari driver’s strengths that can shine on the Sin City street circuit. He added, “Charles is always very fast on these types of circuits where the walls are close and Carlos showed in Singapore that he is no less adept in this area.”

It’s safe to say that Fred Vasseur believes the team has their best shot at a win this year at the Las Vegas GP, and all the stars are lining up for Maranello. But the drivers might get distracted by off-track shenanigans!

In a video shared by Formula 1 on their YouTube channel, Leclerc and Sainz were making big plans for the weekend in Sin City. “I think if we do a 1-2 I’m pretty sure we will take the time to party anyway,” after seeing how the track could favour Ferrari, Charles Leclerc was already dreaming of a double podium. “I’m up for it,” even Carlos Sainz was getting a bit ahead of himself, “So if one of us wins, how do you think we will celebrate? What do you think we will do?”

Even though Fred Vasseur seems optimistic about their chances of winning, and so do the drivers, they better focus on the race instead of Sin City’s never-ending distractions if they want to keep Max Verstappen from steam-rolling forward in his record-breaking win streak. Earlier, Peter Windsor had also joined in on the Ferrari parade to share, “Ferrari is pretty good in a straight line, pretty good high-speed braking, pretty good functional race car, assuming they’re reliable. And so, yeah, they should go quite well around Vegas.”
