Sebastian Vettel and his struggles over the last couple of years with Ferrari have been crystal clear for all to see. However, the winds of change might be blowing the German’s way as he found a seat in Aston Martin for the 2021 season.

With a career-altering change awaiting him on the horizon, Vettel opened up about his desire to let bygones be bygones and move forward. During an episode of F1’s Beyond the Grid, Vettel admitted that he had failed to accomplish his mission.

No. I don’t think I will go on having any regrets looking back,” Vettel says. “It is true that I have failed because I set myself the mission of the target to win the championship with Ferrari.

If I’m harsh and fair, then I have failed. Were there reasons? Probably yes,” believes Vettel. “But I don’t accept them as excuses. So whatever happened or so I guess put me on the next step forward and focus on the next level.”

While Sebastian trudges through a miserable season with Ferrari at the moment, his future team is growing stronger by the second. Can Vettel find his way back to glory? Only time will tell.
