Charles Leclerc has mentioned multiple times about his love for Ferrari. The Monegasque dreams of winning the championship wearing the Ferrari red. However, his contract still hangs in the balance. And so does for Carlos Sainz. Despite no real update on the contract situation for months followed by a vague update by Frederic Vasseur recently, Sainz has come out to express his love for Scuderia and contract hopes. But what did he say?
The word Ferrari is synonymous with racing. The Maranello-based team isn’t just a racing team but is considered a national team of Italy. Hence, the whole nation and fans always await the decision about the drivers and their contracts. Both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz run out of their current Ferrari contract at the end of 2024. While there have been rumors of potential contracts, nothing has been confirmed by Ferrari.
Amid all the doubts about Leclerc and Sainz’s contract, Frederic Vasseur recently came out to give an update. The Ferrari TP explained how Mercedes announced its drivers in August, but Ferrari wasn’t able to have the contract talks with their drivers mid-season. Now that the season has ended, Ferrari is finally talking about the contract negotiations. Vasseur advised that the team still has time to finalize everything and that there aren’t any problems with that. That is quite a vague statement from Vasseur.
