From living the Ferrari dream to Hollywood, Charles Leclerc perhaps does have it all. However, the Ferrari dream saw realities zero in on the team when the team lost the championship, despite building a race-winning car and their iconic legacy. They carried their struggles to the recording studio, where Leclerc dubbed for his debut movie. Onlookers might think that someone who goes around the most circuits at the highest speeds possible because of the eidetic memory they have would have it easier remembering two sentences. Alas! that is not the case.

Leclerc vocally debuted for the Italian version of Buzz Lightyear. The Monegasque followed in the footsteps of the world champions, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Fernando Alonso, who made dubbing debut in Cars 3. And the legend and former Ferrari champion, Michael Schumacher made an appearance as a Ferrari in the first Cars movie. In Formula 1’s Beyond the Grid Podcast, the interviewer steered the conversation toward the movie debut. He said, “I am pointing you towards Buzz Light year, a cameo in Buzz Light year, the Italian version. Is that right?”

Leclerc said, “It was a very short cameo. I did two sentences. But it was fun and crazy how professional it is and how much work there is. Just for two sentences. I cannot imagine what it is like to do the whole film. Yeah, it was cool. I did these two sentences around a hundred times to get there, which sound exactly the same to me but very different from the professional of films. So it was interesting.”

While Leclerc has already followed in the footsteps of champions, he thinks his own battle for the championship won’t be without contest from the man much closer to Hollywood, Lewis Hamilton.

Charles Leclerc won’t rule out Lewis Hamilton for the championship battle

The new racing season will be underway in a few days. While the testing hasn’t placed Mercedes in the top runners, Charles Leclerc feels that the Silver Arrows will be one of the top competitors. And to add to that, he wouldn’t want to discount the greatness of 7x champion Lewis Hamilton.

“As much as we are motivated to win, we know how difficult it will be,” Leclerc told Sky Sports News after the launch of Ferrari’s new car, the SF-23, on Tuesday. “Mercedes will also be there too after having a very strong end to the season last year, so it’s going to be a difficult championship.”

Leclerc stated, “Lewis will never be out of the question for the championship fight.”
