The world of Formula 1 is no stranger to movie tie-ups. Most teams up and down the paddock have promoted movies at some point in time. And now it seems like Ferrari is tying up with Disney Pixar to promote the new ‘Lightyear’ film.

The announcement on Disney’s Spain and Italy social media accounts has taken the space by storm. It is quite unclear what the actual deal looks like. A special livery in Monaco, a special appearance, or an epic collaboration? The questions are many, and fans will have to wait to see the final product.

Disney Spain’s Twitter handle shows a picture of Carlos Sainz with his helmet and race suit on as well.

@CeciliaAcst wrote, “I already see Sainz and Leclerc making a cameo in the new Buzz Lightyear movie in the style of Hamilton and Vettel in cars.”

As one user put it, “Disney Prince Charles Leclerc Confirmed”. Some users are also calling Carlos Sainz a Disney prince. The possibilities of this collaboration seem to be endless.

What is all the “Buzz” about the “Lightyear” movie about?

Traveling to infinity and beyond this summer, the movie “Lightyear” is a spinoff of the “Toy Story” franchise. This movie stars Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear and is a story about time travel. The CGI-animated film is bound to take everyone for a ride.

“Buzz’s world was always something I was excited about,” said movie director Angus MacLane in a statement. “In ‘Toy Story,’ there seemed to be this incredible backstory to him being a space ranger that’s only touched upon, and I always wanted to explore that world further.”

So my ‘Lightyear’ pitch was, ‘What was the movie that Andy saw that made him want a Buzz Lightyear toy?’ I wanted to see that movie. And now I’m lucky enough to get to make it.”
