The Ferrari Driver Academy has produced some of the best drivers on the current grid. Charles Leclerc, Lance Stroll. Mick Schumacher, Callum Illott, and Sergio Perez are all successful products of the FDA. the Italian team has now added two more talented drivers to their roaster.
British teenager Oliver Bearman and Brazilian Rafael Chaves Camara are the new members of the FDA. The Italian team will monitor their careers from now on and will give them opportunities in the upper Formula Series.

Bearman has recently won the Formula 4 series in both Italy and Germany. He won 11 races in the season and dominated the series. He is the second British driver after Illot to join the FDA.
While Camara is a karting talent from Brazil. He impressed everyone, including Ferrari, by winning WSK Champions Cup and the WSK Super Master Cup. He will look to kick start his career in the single-seaters with the same level of performance.

Ferrari Driver Academy chief impressed by Oliver Bearman
As reported by Motorsport.com, FDA Chief Marco Matassa stated he was very impressed by the performance of the young Oliver Bearman. He also highlighted what attracted him to sign the teenager.
“During the days spent at Maranello and Fiorano, Bearman showed all the aptitude he so clearly demonstrated during his Formula 4 season,” said Matassa.

“Apart from his basic speed, he has other important qualities, such as the ability to give good feedback to the engineers, as well as understanding in which areas he can improve, while putting into practice what he was told to do before going out on track for the first time.” said the FDA chief.

Bearman too was over the moon after signing with the Italian team. “I am really happy to have been selected to join the Ferrari Driver Academy. It is a great way to end what has been a really good racing season for me. Just spending a week in Maranello was in itself an amazing experience, especially getting to drive at the Fiorano track.
Now I can’t wait to start working at the Academy and to be part of the Ferrari family and to see what the future holds for me.” said the young Brit.

With the signing of Bearman, Ferarri have yet again added another fast driver to their academy. Oliver Bearman might just be the next Charles Leclerc for Ferrari and the sport.
