It is a well-known fact that Michael Schumacher was always hailed as a team player, which consequently played a crucial role in his success with Ferrari as the German secured a whopping 5 championship titles. Interestingly, his son, Mick Schumacher, is showing similar characteristics with the Haas F1 team.
What’s more, Charles Leclerc’s driver coach, Jock Clear, too, acknowledged the similarities, having worked with both the Schumachers. However, Jock reckoned that there is an aspect where Mick is looking much better than his legendary father.

During an interview with Sport Bild, the Briton opened up that Mick is a much quieter driver than Michael, which is helping the former build a much stronger relationship with Haas, and potentially Ferrari as well.
“Absolutely. They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. It’s no surprise at all that Mick has these qualities,” he said.

“It was Michael’s traits and he grew up in this environment, even if he wasn’t old enough at the time to have actually experienced it in Michael’s world championship years.
“But the whole family environment will have passed these skills on to Mick. And now he’s bringing that to Haas. His dynamic in the team is very positive.
” And the method he uses is almost better than Michael’s because he’s a quieter guy by nature,” Jock continued.
