Forza Ferrari? What is that? A team that has a legacy and heritage of racing and every resource at its disposal is struggling for the past 15 years. The team that became the first of the losers in 2022 took the tag a little too seriously. As of this year, they are still losing but aren’t even the first at that. Poor strategy calls and supposed politics at Maranello have plagued the scarlet team. However, they expect to overturn the misfortune with the fresh side pods and fresher hope for SF-23. They have pinned their last hope on an overhaul of their car, which they will rally in front of the Tifosi at their home race in Imola.
The team hasn’t tackled their impending problem of tire degradation, and to add to that, they are sluggishly slow, as was witnessed when they put on hard tires at Jeddah. The car isn’t fast enough and neither are the radios from the engineers. You name a problem and Ferrari will probably showcase it. However, Maranello has refused to accept this as a losing ride and has termed this year as a transition year. Only they know how many such years will it take before they begin winning in an actual sense.
As reported by Motorsport.com, Ferrari will bring significant updates to Imola. As part of this updated package, a new floor and rear suspension, and side-pods will also undergo minor changes. This is being done to correct the existing version of their car. The major issue that it faces is that it fluctuates at certain speeds and is difficult to drive at the desired low level. To add to that, another problem is that of drag and engineers also want the vehicle running closer to the ground.

To combat all the said problems, they will present a corrected scarlet wonder to the people during the third week of May, when the European inning of the calendar commences.

Terming even 2023 as a transition year, the team with the richest legacy has showcased that they are doing something wrong. While they may have all the patience to endure one transition year after another as they have been doing for the past 15 years, the talent Leclerc might not. And an F1 expert has reiterated what the Tifosi fear. Ferrari will lose Charles Leclerc.
F1 commentator Matt Gallagher said on the Sky Sports F1 Podcast, “It’s more about if Ferrari can keep him long enough until they do have a championship-winning car. I am going to go with a no,”
