The new year is upon us. However, there is still plenty of time before the new Championship season will begin and we witness some Formula 1 action. Although, there is one thing the fans can look forward to that is the livery launches. Ferrari is debuting its Ferrari 675 project on the 14th of February. If we are to believe the reports, the Maranello-based outfit is confident of their 2023 project, similar to 2022.
Ferrari had a blistering start to the 2022 season, with two wins in the first three races. Ferrari’s F1-75 set the standard in pace, among other things. However, it all went south for the Scuderia as the season progressed, especially with the car’s reliability. The Italian team has not revolutionized the design for the 2023 challenger. However, the team is extremely confident in the 675’s (possible name of the 2023 challenger) performance in the coming season.

Former Ferrari technician Andrea Stella and the newly appointed McLaren boss gave the latest confirmation on Ferrari’s confidence. As reported by Italian news outlet Formula Passion, he said, “The teams to beat in the next F1 season as well are Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes, who are currently competing in a different category from ours (McLaren).” (Translated by Google)
He then revealed the situation back in Maranello, “I expect an important reaction from Mercedes even if I know that in Ferrari they are very happy with the new car and therefore will definitely have a competitive start.”

Ferrari’s confidence shouldn’t come as a surprise, however. The Italian team stopped working on the 2022 challenger and started developing the 2023 challenger early in 2022.
However, despite the jump start, Ferrari is wary of the Mercedes project despite the poor 2022 showing.
Former Ferrari boss believes it will be a three-way race to the top with Red Bull and Mercedes
We are already aware of Red Bull’s superior challenger, RB18. All signs point towards a similar car for 2023 as well. However, the team that started from the bottom and is trying to get to the top is Mercedes.

The Brackley team covered a lot of ground during the entire 2022 season. This consistent progress points towards a powerful showing in 2023 for the Silver Arrows.
Former Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto is also convinced of this. He confessed to Sky Sports F1, “This makes it clear that next year will not be a battle between two teams.”
