When Charles Leclerc joined Ferrari, he was looked at as the wonderboy who would lead the Scuderia back to winning ways. And his performances showcased the same. Unfortunately, the Ferrari wasn’t quick enough for a championship, but the Monegasque’s potential was visible. But Carlos Sainz has been the better driver in the last 18 months or so. And now, Charles Leclerc has come to suggest that he is hurt by Sainz’s progress as he awaits his union with Lewis Hamilton.
Carlos Sainz has made far fewer mistakes compared to Charles Leclerc since the start of last season, and this has cost the Monegasque’s points and chances at wins. Leclerc is known for his blistering pace in qualifying but lacked precision during both of Carlos Sainz’s wins in the last year or so. This makes the Spaniard the only Ferrari driver to beat Max Verstappen in 2023 and 2024.
Charles Leclerc came out to talk about the same, as he expressed how it hurt to see Sainz win, although it was great for the team. The Ferrari driver said, “It hurts. And it’s a pleasure because, for the team, victory is important. But we feel bad about it personally, at least I do. Over those two weekends (Singapore and Melbourne), I wasn’t up to scratch. I lost those two opportunities.”

Ferrari sacked Carlos Sainz in favor of Lewis Hamilton despite the Spaniard being in the form of his life. And now, Leclerc, amid Sainz’s brilliant form, looks forward to Hamilton joining him at Ferrari. Charles Leclerc said, “It’s going to be a huge and super challenge for me to have a seven-time world champion by my side. We are talking about a reference. I’m going to learn a lot. Understand what makes it so special on the track.”

Charles Leclerc seems to be following all of Lewis Hamilton’s footsteps one by one. He first started making his own music, followed by starting his own food venture, LEC, and now adopting a dog. And that’s not all; Leclerc also worked with Vogue for the May issue of Vogue’s Italian Magazine.
In a recent interview, Formula One’s ice cream guy explained how he plans to celebrate with Hamilton with both their new ventures, i.e., Almave, the nonalcoholic tequila, and LEC, the ice cream brand.
The duo also plans on making some music together in the future, as Charles Leclerc said, “If it’s [Music Collab] what everybody wants to know, then I’m not sure to be honest. I don’t know, I haven’t spoken about music too much with Lewis yet. We discussed about it last year and he was telling me that he loves music and I don’t know. I’ll speak with him from next year onwards about a potential collaboration.”
