Ferrari has to be the most iconic name when it comes to racing, as that’s exactly what the brand embodies. With racing in its DNA, it participates in the two most prestigious race racing events in the world, Formula 1 and 24 Hour Le Mans race. Although Ferrari is currently ranked 2 in the constructors in Formula 1, they managed to win the Monaco Grand Prix, one of the most important races on the calendar.

Besides winning Charles Leclerc‘s home race, today the Prancing Horses achieved a victory in Le Mans, making it a historic day for Ferrari. Having won two of the most important races in motorsports, Leclerc was joined by Antonio Fuoco, who won the 24-hour Le Mans for the Scuderia, breaking the 90-year-old record. And the Monegasque shared some words of praise for the Italian winner.

The last time any manufacturer won both the Monaco Grand Prix and the Le Mans race in the same year was Alfa Romeo. That was 90 years ago, in 1934, and just a decade short of a century later, Ferrari achieved similar greatness.

When Alfa Romeo achieved this feat, it was Luigi Chinetti who brought home the LeMans Cup and Guy Moll to win the Monaco Grand Prix. Today, we have Charles Leclerc winning his home Grand Prix for the first time, while in the 24-hour Le Mans, Antonio Fuoco made his late father proud on Father’s Day.

Both drivers have lost their dads in their 20s, which has made them proud. Ferrari is doing strong overall this year as the stars are aligning, but does this mean another GP win? So far, Ferrari has won 2 out of 9 rounds, which is already more than they did last season in 22 races. Ever since the Monaco race, they have proved that they are fast. But are they fast enough to beat Red Bull?

Ferrari is showing that they are not to be taken lightly, as their double podium finish in Monaco was iconic. This season, they can put the pressure on Red Bull that they did back in 2022, finishing second in the constructors. However, rank 2 is not a position they will settle for. Currently, the team is right behind Red Bull, as they have had a car on the podium in every race except China and Canada. Many of them are double podiums, mixed with two wins in Australia and Monaco.

This is a great result, as they are currently only 24 points behind Red Bull and slowly getting closer. This means they can take the lead in the Constructors Championship in Spain itself if the conditions are right. For this, of course, Red Bull would need to have some major issues in the race for that to happen. However, that is not very likely.

The team can use the Spanish Grand Prix to build momentum, as they need a win after the double DNF in Canada. This has affected the team’s results, but Ferrari is still in a very strong position to win the world championship. This is the case for the constructors. For Charles Leclerc to be a world champion, he will have to overcome the gap of 31 points, which is difficult but not impossible.

With that said, do you think this will be the year that Ferrari finally wins the F1 World Championship? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
