Formula 1 is a small world where drivers and their families pool chartered flights and keep crossing each other’s paths. Max Verstappen, who is a very big Fernando Alonso fan, was probably amidst one such pooling event (this time on four wheels) where a few cameras filing Max Verstappen’s documentary caught him in an awkward situation.

In a video floating on X (formerly known as Twitter), Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquest can be seen involved in a pretty public display of affection, or PDA as we call it. On the first go, one cannot see beyond the lovebirds, but as we see it for the second time, an awkward Fernando can be noticed in the furthest back seat of the vehicle. This has left fans ‘rolling on the floor laughing’.

Fans couldn’t control their reactions after spotting Fernando Alonso in a Max Verstappen PDA video
The video, which is supposedly from Max Verstappen’s Viaplay documentary, has Kelly fondly kissing Verstappen twice. The reason for that affectionate gesture gets answered immediately as Verstappen complains of the headache which originated due to a pit lane incident. On a closer look, Fernando is spotted right behind Verstappen, enjoying the car ride. And wait for it. Fernando is sitting next to Red Bull veteran David Coulthard. Fans couldn’t contain their laughter after spotting Nando there.
The fans began reacting when one user posted a video of the lovely couple pointing at Fernando in the background.

A user replied, affirming the ‘omnipresent’ nature of the oldest youngster on the grid.
What’s your perspective on:
Does Alonso's constant presence in F1 events make him a legend or a nuisance?
Have an interesting take?

A user finally noticed David Coulthard sitting next to Fernando and asked a question deviating from the Alonso saga. Their question pointed at 10x GP winner Coulthard’s presence in that awkward traveling group.
the real question is, why is dc always at the scene of the crime https://t.co/PjSr9Cm1MQ

As I mentioned, watching the video again and again revealed more facets of it. A user also agreed with it and revealed his own observation. They revealed that it kept getting more and more awkward.
