Esteban Ocon is having a great season. The French driver has consistently performed for his team and has not brought points on just 4 occasions out of the 16 this year so far. Ocon won the race in Hungary last year and since then, he is on top of his game. Packed up with self-morale, he made up a bold claim about himself, to which he got an epic reply.

Ocon’s relationship with Fernando Alonso has flourished over time. Frenchman’s Hungarian GP win was possible with Alonso’s help. Ocon returned the favor by supporting the Spaniard at Qatar Grand Prix.

In light of all this, while talking to Motorsport.com, Esteban Ocon made a very controversial claim, which went viral and created a fuss. He said,If I look at Fernando’s career, the only teammate at his level was Lewis. Everyone else has not done better than me.” (translated using Google)
