Fernando Alonso Trumpets Emotional Message to ‘Superwoman’ Girlfriend On Her Special Day

Love is in the air for the two-time world champion Fernando Alonso. Since making his Formula One comeback at the beginning of the 2021 season, we have seen a calmer side to the legendary driver.

He is much more mellow and also shows his romantic side to the F1 fans as well. Alonso is currently dating Servus TV journalist Andrea Schlager, which the pair revealed at the beginning of this year. The Alpine driver took to Instagram to wish his girlfriend on her birthday.

” Happy birthday to a real superwoman Andrea.m.schlager, I feel so lucky to celebrate this day with you. Lass dies dein bisher bestes Jahr werden,” wrote the former world champion in his caption while wishing Schlager.

Schlager too showered some love towards the F1 driver on her special day. “I have had the best gift for half a year. Thank you all very much for the good birthday wishes. You have made my day very special,” said the F1 Journalist.

The Renault world champion is really happy with his life, both on and off the track. Since the beginning of this season, Alonso has been performing at a very high level, which is now showing in his results.

The Spanish driver has been putting in some mighty performances since the beginning of the season for Alpine. He recently finished P7 in Baku to make it 3 consecutive points finishes in 2022.

“Yes, happy with P7. Obviously, we benefitted from the retirements in front of us, the Ferraris and Tsunoda. But yes, these things happen here in Baku and we take these six points, which give us a good taste after seventh in Monaco, seventh here again. So let’s keep it going,” said Alonso.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish driver can continue his form for the next couple of races. With his consistent performances, he certainly has made a mark on the grid and has subsequently gained some vital points for the team.

Let’s see where Alonso finishes at the end of the season and whether he will stay with the French outfit for another year. But, regardless, it is certainly pleasing to see him firing in the sport once again.
