More than merely a sport for many years, Formula 1 has resembled a battleground. We all have seen all kinds of acts in a fierce competition like ours. While some will assault their adversary on the track, others choose to vent their anger by making nasty attacks on former comrades. Fernando Alonso, who has portrayed the” bad guy” image during his whole 20-year career, has chosen to praise his new teammates while backstabbing his previous one.
The man has the ability to give it back as soon as they get an opportunity. However, the Spaniard looks to be in a more tranquil environment now that he is based out of Silverstone. In addition, he has given admiration to his current teammate Lance Stroll, who, according to the Spaniard, puts the team before himself and doesn’t target him like his former teammate did.
While Alonso is winning races in a much faster Aston Martin, his former team Alpine is still struggling in the middle of the pack with just 14 points. One of the many reasons for Alonso to leave Alpine was his contentious relationship with Esteban Ocon. Although there was tension in the relationship for both of Alonso’s years at Alpine, the crash following the Brazilian Grand Prix made things much worse. When things finally hit a breaking point, Fernando Alonso even said, “One more race and it’s finally over.”

Since then, the 41-year-old hasn’t missed a chance to attack Alpine driver Esteban Ocon, and the most recent one occurred when the Aston Martin driver spoke to Spanish publication El Mundo Deportivo and lauded Stroll’s spirits. While firing shots at the Frenchman, Alonso at first praised Lance Stroll as a teammate he said, “Lance is a driver who thinks like a team-mate.”
Later he pointed out how at Alpine the 26-year-old’s first target always was always Alonso. the 41-year-old added, “Last year, the opposite happened to me. I was always my team-mate’s first target and that obviously is something that does not always benefit the team.” The duo came together during Sao Paulo’s sprint race last season in one of the final battles the pair would have as team-mates at Alpine.
Since joining the Aston Martin team, Alonso has thrived in a positive atmosphere. But how is a fantastic environment made? by spreading positive energy. And it seems that the connection Alonso is feeling with Stroll has pushed him to become his life coach, but why is Max Verstappen making jokes about it?
Why is Max Verstappen making fun of Fernando Alonso’s most recent compliment to Lance Stroll?
In his 20 years competing in Formula 1, Fernando Alonso has won two World Championships and has teamed up with numerous other drivers. However, the chemistry he has with Lance Stroll is unmatched. It may be understood as at the Baku track Alonso requested his team over the radio to “Tell Lance my brake balance suggestion as I am now,” he told the team over the radio. “I think it’s good help.”
After the race, Alonso clarified his motivation to tell the suggestions as he wants to groom Stroll to become the team’s leader, he said, “I know that I will be in the sport for a few more years but not many, and he will lead the team for the next 10 or 15 years, so I hope I can help Lance in the next few years.”

Again, during the Miami Grand Prix, the Spaniard praised Stroll for his “great move into Turn 1” in which he passed Williams Alex Albon. However, when asked how Alonso could see where Stroll was in a car traveling at more than 200 kph, the veteran driver replied, “I think this circuit we have big TV screens out of some of the slow-speed corners so it was very easy to follow the race on TV.”
This led the notorious Max Verstappen playfully said, “You’re like a life coach! The last race you’re like ‘try my brake balance!'”
