Fernando Alonso has been a unique F1 star having a completely different style and swag. Entering his 20th season in F1, the Spaniard is still going strong and enthusiastic. While Alonso starts a new stint with Aston Martin, he also hopes to make a fresh attempt at an elusive 3rd world title. But besides that, Fernando is also looking to start afresh from the baggage of his previous stints. To start off 2023, he along with Aston Martin teased a new helmet design for the 2-time champion for this season. This teaser of a new design has relieved fans in hope of getting rid of the pink accent on his 2022 Alpine helmet.
According to Alonso’s Instagram story, he posted a gray-scale picture of his 2023 helmet design. This has caught the attention of fans on social media platforms. Many are suggesting and predicting the color scheme of Fernando’s new helmet. Meanwhile, fans are also happy that their beloved champion will not have to sport the pink color accents from BWT that sponsored Alpine last year.
BWT has been sponsoring F1 teams for a while now. In 2019, they first partnered with Aston Martin’s predecessor Racing Point. In 2019 and 2020, the Racing Point car sported a completely pink color-based livery. While, for 2021 as the team rebranded as Aston Martin, the British racing green livery of the AMR21 still had some pink color accents.

Besides, even the racing gear of drivers and helmets had splashes of BWT pink. For 2022, BWT split up with Aston and partnered with Alpine. Therefore, Alonso had to bear with having pink on his racing gear and helmet last year. Although, now with Fernando at Aston, he shall feel free to his favorite helmet design.
Fans go into Prediction mode for the New Helmet Design for Fernando Alonso
Fans have reacted on Twitter and Reddit to show their relief at having no BWT pink again on the new helmet design of Fernando Alonso. Meanwhile, some have also predicted what can be the colors in this new design. Many also feel Fernando should bring back his classic blue-green lid that sported the Spanish flag colors.

Alonso always loves to play around with his style quotient. And even about his lid designs, the Spaniard is quite particular. He ensures all his sponsors are also satisfied with their logo placements on his race helmets. So, Fernando will ensure he sports a classic color scheme or perhaps a good brand-new one that appeals to the fans.
Nice green helmet, next mission get a decent driver in it.

Reddit Reactions:
Clearly, a lot of fans do not like the BWT pink accent color splashes in F1. And to be fair, it did look a bit odd on the AMR21 in 2021. Even last year, the pink on Alpine’s blue livery looked weird and not quite cool. Although, a totally pink livery ain’t that bad.
The first two races’ Alpine livery last year and even the Racing Point RP20 car from 2020 dazzled that BWT pink livery quite well. This may be an unpopular opinion, but regardless.
