The 2021 season of Formula 1 ended on a spectacular note, with the championship being decided on the last lap. As the change in regulations grabbed the headlines this season, Fernando Alonso believes it has not served its purpose so far.
The FIA changed the regulations in a bid to reduce the gap between the teams and bring the grid closer. While we have seen plenty of quality overtakes, the two-time world champion believes that the top teams still continue to dominate.

Speaking on whether the new regulations have improved the sport, he said, “Yes and no. Unfortunately, Formula 1 is still very predictable. It’s all about Red Bull and Ferrari. Only Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez can win.”
