The 2023 British Grand Prix served all of us racing fans a feast. The race did get a bit dull around the middle, but the late Safety Car and the prospect of Lando Norris getting on the top step of the podium at his home race kept us all in the loop. But the drama didn’t stop with the chequered flag. As it turns out, Red Bull taskmaster, Helmut Marko was still in the mood to get his elbows out!

His drivers drove a fine race today. Max Verstappen clinched the Milton-Keynes-based outfit’s 11th consecutive race win in 2023 equaling McLaren‘s record. Sergio Perez finished in a decent points-paying position, too. However, the Austrian’s mood, as ever, was still just one step away from blowing off.

Marko was in the vicinity of the McLaren celebrations as Norris was being congratulated by the team. Naturally, all the team members and photographers were jostling for position to get a piece of the Brit. But Marko, 80, got caught in the crossfire while his eyes were on Verstappen’s post-race interview.
