For the last time today, Sebastian Vettel will wear his race jacket, put on his gloves and helmet, and drive his Aston Martin car. The German legend has provided us with some wonderful memories, and F1 fans and drivers alike will miss him. Subsequently, reigning world champion Max Verstappen shared a ‘fruity’ goodbye message for Seb.

Sebastian will start from P9 in his final race today in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, he showed in the qualifying yesterday that he was still good enough to continue racing in F1. He’ll be hoping to climb a few places and try to finish in the top 5 in his final race.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen had a special message delivered for the 4-time champion. He joked about the incident between the duo in Silverstone 2019. Max wrote, “I know you like me from behind (Silverstone 2019). I wish you all the best with the family”. 

For context, Vettel crashed into the Dutchman on lap 37 of the race while fighting for P3. He ultimately finished the race P16.

On Sunday, Verstappen will start the race from the front row after winning his 7th pole position of the year. He’ll be joined by his teammate Sergio Perez.

Max Verstappen showed a different side of himself to the world by sharing his ‘adult humor’ to bid goodbye to Sebastian Vettel. His message caught the attention of many fans. F1 Twitter reacted to the same in a mixed manner as they could not believe what Max had just shared.

Fans laughed at the Dutchman’s message, which arguably comprised a double meaning.

Meanwhile, one fan thought Max’s message would have been 500 times funnier if there was no context involved.

Moreover, some fans claimed Max to be more ‘fruity’ than themselves. One fan even termed the Dutchman his “fav fruity male”.

Seb is joined by his dad this weekend for his last race in F1. However, it does not feel real, that F1’s patrolman will not be on duty next year. The reality will eventually sink in, but Seb’s legacy will live long.
