A lot of people saying "Colton Herta" is a candidate to be an American F1 driver for Andretti. I've never seen my name spelled so incorrectly

Ricciardo’s name makes sense from a marketing perspective. Considering how popular Daniel has become in the US, it might actually be a good move. Plus, the Aussie driver has got race-winning experience too.

Got to Colton in that seat if he gets a license. I'd say @danielricciardo in the other one? He is pretty popular in the US and would give them race winning experience.

If Herta can’t get an F1 seat between now and 2026, another, better American driver will have leapfrogged him

Colton, it's simple this season – you need to get your super license.

Although, many want to see Colton Herta getting this Andretti drive. Colton was in the shout for an Alpha Tauri seat for 2023, but it did not work out due to FIA’s super license requirements. Thus, Herta needs to secure that super license as soon as possible if he wishes to be on top of Andretti’s list.

I mean putting Sargeant aside, the American leading the pack is Josef Newgarden, because he qualifies for a SL.

Eventually, Andretti needs to first secure its team entry confirmation. The team will need a lot of financial backing including the new entrant fee to the championship worth $200 million. So, this driver lineup situation is a problem for later, after the American outfit sorts out the F1 entry formalities.
