A car off the pace, a P13, an impossible overtake, and too much online hate later, Lewis Hamilton might just be under stress. Season 2022 is proving to be a nightmare for the British driver.

Mercedes’s chants of “We need to improve” after every race seem to be fading away. Moreover, while teammate George Russell is somehow pulling off miracles, Hamilton is struggling beyond imagination.

Twitter reacts after Lewis Hamilton deletes Imola post

This year Mercedes faces the daunting task of putting up with not being No.1. While initially when they claimed that the car has no pace, we all thought they were sandbagging. Turns out, they were not! An Alpha Tauri kept behind their star driver, Lewis Hamilton, for the whole Imola race this weekend. But the worst part is that while Hamilton was P13, his teammate managed a P4 in the same car. So, what’s going on?

Lewis wasn’t going to get away with the trolling after getting lapped by Max Verstappen at Imola. As surprising as it is, it did happen! In a post sprint race Instagram post, Lewis confidently said: “Today is just one of those “it is what it is” days. Tomorrow will be better. A lot of points up for grabs this weekend, we’re going to give it everything.” 

But the weekend did not turn out any better as Lewis faced his worst nightmare, and this post faced obvious trolling resulting in Hamilton deleting it. Twitter has now reacted to Hamilton’s frustration and the post-removal saga.

Bad days for Mercedes

This is obviously not what we see Hamilton doing on regular race days. A bad race for him was like: P2 or P3, however, this year’s start has proven to be very bad for him. If Mercedes does not turn this around or find a way out, it will be bad. It will reduce the British team to a midfield dragger, and that will add more injury to Hamilton’s tumultuous start.
