Nico Rosberg has left behind a solid legacy in Formula 1. Other than Graham and Damon Hill, only Nico Rosberg and his father Keke have done the father-son double [both Rosbergs won the F1 title in 2016 and 1982, respectively] in Formula 1. In 2016, Rosberg finally defeated his arch-nemesis Lewis Hamilton to clinch his maiden and only Formula 1 world title. He promptly retired thereafter. However, since then, he’s gone on to forge his own path as a successful TV pundit, YouTuber, and a champion for the cause of a sustainable automotive industry.
Yesterday, the 1x Champion took to his Twitter account to share that he’d been recognized by Forbes in the 40-under-40 list. Rosberg has been a key player in the sustainability scene and had gained considerable fame through his informative YouTube career.

Even though fans were largely ecstatic at one of their favorite drivers getting recognized on the big stage, others, while meaning well, took slight jabs at the German. F1 fans will never forget the man who beat Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery after all, right?
Almost as super important as being able to beat a 7 times world champion in equal machinery.
