342 laps, 30 pit stops, and 24 hours and 18 seconds later, the Ferrari-AF Corse Hypercar brought the Le Mans 24 trophy home on the 11th of June. A monumental effort was put in by the team that did what their prestigious Formula 1 team was not being able to do. To try and replicate their Le Mans 24 results in F1, the Maranello outfit is out to do something that has got nothing but scorn from their fans.
The Scuderia Ferrari F1 team has been present in F1 since the very first year of F1 in 1950. In the first 58 years, they achieved something that no other team has. But since 2008, it has been a downward spiral. And even after 15 years, they have not gotten back. On the other hand, after 50 years of absence from Le Mans 24, Ferrari-AF Corse came back and won the centenary edition of the category. A true historic achievement in every sense of the matter.

As a tribute to that amazing performance, the Scuderia will don a special livery at Monza this year. The SF-23 will look like the No. 51 Ferrari-AF Corse. A special livery on a special home race for Tifosi – what could go wrong? But historically, everything has been going wrong. And that is exactly what has gotten Tifosi quite worried and disappointed.

Ferrari’s decision to take on the Le Mans livery trashed as fans give them a reality check
Most opinions on Ferrari’s actions in the recent past have been critical ones. Nothing seems to work for them on the racetrack. Or should we say as a team, they haven’t been able to make anything work for them? While there were a few Twitteratis who likened the new livery to Lightning McQueen and Ka-chow’d in imitation, most of them couldn’t believe that Ferrari is focusing on the look more than the performance.
One fan even caught hold of a photo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz sporting the Le Mans 24 merchandise that Ferrari will debut.

Kinda sad to think they managed to win LeMans on their first try but they can't design a good enough car in f1

One fan even suggested that they can only win if they change their livery to look like Red Bull.
If Ferrari wants to win in Monza the livery should be really very special, maybe like this pic.twitter.com/FLmJ1KmdS7

The only way that Ferrari can silence the critics is by bettering the mechanics of its SF-23. Liveries will come and go and luck too. But the only thing that they can be proud of would be the effort they put in that translates into high-class performance.
