The McLaren’s rising star, Lando Norris, was spotted at an outing with a few friends. He even took to his Instagram recently to share a few pictures of the fun times. One of the friends on this particular night was none other than Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz.
Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris go was back as they are former teammates. They were friends then, and according to most, their friendship still remains unchanged despite their battles on the track.

Lando posted a rather adorable picture of the two where he is seen resting his head on Sainz‘s arm. The picture is pure and showcases the love the two share. In fact, it even caught the attention of an old McLaren colleague.
Charlotte Sefton, who now the Head Of Communications for the W Series, was previously the PR manager at McLaren. Sefton has been a major part of the Briton’s racing career. From side-track interviews to guiding him to the media pit, Sefton has seen it all.
As Lando’s post surfaced, seeing the two former McLaren men bring ‘Carlando’ back, she was quick to make a warm comment on Lando’s post. She wrote, “Matching outfits and everything 💁🏼♂️💁🏻♂️.”
Since the two are no longer on the same team, Lando Norris a while back shared insight into their friendship.
Are Lando Norris And Carlos Sainz still close despite driving for different teams?
Norris and Sainz were teammates at McLaren before the Spaniard moved on to Ferrari in 2021. The two were a fan favorite because of the friendship they shared off of the track. Even though their battles against each other on the track have now increased, Norris states they still share a good friendship.
Talking to the media in January, Norris said, “We still speak to each other every now and then. I guess maybe not as often or as closely as we were [in the] past couple of years. But no, we’re still mates, we still got along.”

“As much as the rivalry’s probably increased, and he wants to beat me and I want to beat him, and [the] teams want to beat each other, we still just have a lot of respect for each other and who we are as drivers and so on. “
Norris also shared that the two may not get the time to hang out and spend as much time as they did before, however, they still find the time to play golf now and then!
