Remember how Guenther Steiner stole the driver’s seat from a young German in favor of an old one? The Haas TP only thought of his team and not about what effect it’ll have on Mick Schumacher, who was struggling to live up to his last name. Well, the rockstar is back at his shenanigans, this time targeting Max Verstappen. The Italian’s absurd suggestion, backed by a silly reason, might be the reason why Max Verstappen decided to retire.

Almost everyone on the grid was critical of the Sprint races when they were introduced. Nevertheless, as time has passed away, a lot of the critics have converted into sprint lovers. Max Verstappen, however, is still a critic of the sprint and has expressed his concern regarding it. Changes were made to the sprint format for this year. The Dutchman expressed how he might quit F1 altogether if FIA and the F1 authorities make a lot of changes to the sprint races.

Maybe we’ll make a few more, or add them to half the calendar, but of course, F1 organizers know what to do.” Further adding “There’s a lot of demand for races right now, so how can you get more competition if we can’t race more than 24? Maybe the number of sprints should be doubled.”

The Italian then went on to explain how it was difficult to manage Mick because of the pressure that came with the last name. He also added how Schumacher Jr. wasn’t able to perform and got booted because of the F1’s competitive nature.

It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t easy to manage that one because there was a lot of pressure from outside because of his last name.” Further adding, “It wasn’t easy, but racing is not easy, and coming up for young guys in Formula 1 is very tough and nobody deserves to be in Formula 1, you need to perform.”
