A Las Vegas Grand Prix was what a grinning Daniel Ricciardo wished for ahead of 2017’s Australian GP. However, the turn of events has been unfortunate for him. Even though he has lost the opportunity to race at the event, the GP in Sin City is set to fulfill the dreamy aspirations of many. With each revelation over the upcoming State-of-the-Art infrastructure in the heartbeat of Nevada, what happens in Vegas surely won’t stay there as the event is set to become the biggest sporting event of the year.

This year the land of Uncle Sam is set to host a third GP, that stands at the maximum of any single nation. While the “biggest event of the year” is seven months away, the Formula 1 paddock building is already underway. The $240 million project is set to be completed by September and to organize the November race. While the news around the Vegas race is already buzzing with one development or the other every day. According to Emily Prazer, the CCO of F1 Las Vegas, the work to make the guest experience a world-class one by partnering with crucial brands and building a unique facility.

As quoted by Reuters, the project manager, Terry Miller, of the paddock called the coming together of the event a “symphony”. Miller further said, “All of the pieces that come in, the logistics of how people move around the site, F1’s significant race communications and controls – it all comes back to here.” He also further added, “This is the heartbeat of the event.”

With the Drive to Survive revolution, there has been an explosion of F1 audiences in the States. The F1 calendar is now set to host a whooping three Grand Prix in the land of Stars and Stripes. And the team principal of the reigning champions, Red Bull, has compared the reason for the said explosion with the reality TV rulers Kardashians.

When Red Bull boss Christian Horner was asked about this, he said, “We’ve seen massive growth, Drive to Survive has introduced F1 to a whole new audience, a younger and American audience,” as quoted by Bloomberg. But what is F1 on Netflix like? “[It’s] Like the Kardashians on wheels at times,” said Horner.

He further said, “I think it will be the biggest sporting event on the globe this year. The demand for that race is off the charts. Anybody who is anyone will be at that weekend.”
