Lando Norris has not had a good season so far. After an impressive season last year, where he finished sixth in the Championship, he finds himself fighting for the 7th position. However, some of his comments have also been heavily scrutinized regarding his relationship with teammate Daniel Ricciardo.

While things don’t seem to be improving for McLaren on the track, they seem to be going from bad to worse for Lando Norris. The Bristol-born driver was pictured spending his summer break with his girlfriend, Luisinha Oliveira. However, in an interesting turn of events, Norris today posted an Instagram story announcing they had broken up. The story was later deleted by the McLaren driver.

Norris wrote, “Hello everyone, After time and consideration, Luisa and myself have mutually decided to end our romantic relationship but remain good friends. I wish her the world and have so much respect for her and all she does as such an amazing and strong women with nothing but kindness.”

He continued, “Pls respect our decision and respect our, but more Importantly and especially her, privacy moving forward. Thank you for your endless support.”

Lando was also under fire regarding his comments about his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. McLaren announced they will be terminating Daniel’s contract, which didn’t go down well with the fans.

F1 Twitter expressed their disappointment as Lando Norris announced his split with his girlfriend. Fans were left gutted, and they shared their opinions on the social media platform.

 

Lando Norris will be hoping to put aside his personal life and focus on the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. He finished P10 in this circuit last season and will be looking to improve on it.

It has not been a season to remember for Lando Norris. He would have liked to improve on his 6th placed finish in the championship last year. Moreover, after McLaren won a Grand Prix last year, he’d have hoped for a better car to compete in. However, after all the drama surrounding his teammate, Lando will be looking to improve his results in the upcoming races.
