Apart from the initial few races, the 2022 Formula 1 championship season was as straightforward as it gets. Max Verstappen led Red Bull cruising to victory without a lot of competition. However, even though there wasn’t much to talk about for moments on track, there was plenty of drama about it. This is where Netflix’s Drive to Survive thrives. One such particularly infamous saga off-track was the series’ point of focus in one of the episodes in the latest season. The saga involves Oscar Piastri and Alpine. DTS asked Piastri about the drama and the Australian’s brutal response was making the fans say “atta boy”.
To job your memories, Alpine accounted Piastri will be driving for the team after Fernando Alonso’s shock Aston Martin announcement. However, just two hours after Alpine’s announcement, Piastri tweeted he will not be driving for Alpine. DTS covered Piastri’s public disagreement with Alpine in close proximity.

After the dust settled, the show creators even asked Piastri if he has any regrets regarding the situation. The Australian’s reply was so brutal that McLaren’s official Twitter page had to share a snippet of it.
After giving it a brief thought, the Australian said, “No. I have absolutely no regrets about securing my future and fulfilling a dream of mine.”
A brutal reply for Alpine and music to the ears of McLaren fans.
McLaren fans are loving the brutal reply from Oscar Piastri
The Australian would need all the support from the McLaren fanbase. Safe to say, after the fans go through the show, Piastri would have a larger fan following even before he starts racing. If that is a doubt in anyone’s mind, let us show you some of the reactions to his answer.

For a rookie, a racing seat in the premier class is a dream. Keeping that in mind, his Alpine snub couldn’t have been an easy choice. However, the fans think otherwise and are welcoming the Australian with open arms.
He did the right thing, no regrets yeah, good luck to him

Despite the fact, Piastri took up Daniel Ricciardo’s seat, the fans are still warming up to the idea of the new Australian. His answer is definitely helping.
You tell ‘em boy. Let the haters hate.
