It looks like Lewis Hamilton has finally backed down from his fight against FIA. The 7-time world champion seemed to have removed his nose stud, which he previously revealed was not easy to remove.

FIA had given a warning to the Mercedes driver that if he did not remove his piercings, soon, he might be fined. The fans were quick to notice the missing nose stud on Hamilton. Fans took to social media to share their reactions to the missing nose stud.

The Mercedes driver had earlier mentioned that he can not simply remove his nose stud as it would require a proper procedure to cut the piece of jewelry.

What led to the Lewis Hamilton and FIA Jewelry debacle?

FIA had mentioned that they monitor the drivers and have banned them from wearing jewelry and piercings, as it can cause a safety issue inside the car. But Hamilton did not agree with the rule and mentioned that he had no plans to remove the piercings. He, in protest, even wore as much jewelry as he possibly could to showcase his views on the subject.

“I don’t have any plans on removing (them). I feel there are personal things. You should be able to be who you are. There is stuff that I can’t move. I literally can’t even take these out. These ones on my right ear they are literally welded in, so I have to get them chopped off or something like that. So they will be staying,” said Hamilton.

So it will be interesting to know the reason why Hamilton backed down from his stance to not remove his piercings. It will also be interesting to see if he has removed his nose stud for only this race or the whole season.

Anyway, it looks like the FIA might have won this argument and Hamilton might have conceded, as he did want to miss his home race in Silverstone this weekend.
