F1 Twitter Tears Up As Alfa Romeo Gift Once In a Lifetime Opportunity to Fan

Alfa Romeo might not be a leader when it comes to the WCC. They might not challenge for wins as regularly as they would like to. But they still are the name on most people’s lips since they rewarded a fan with the best day of his life.

Alfa Romeo is a relatively new team on the grid. It was announced that for 2019, BMW Sauber would operate as Alfa Romeo Racing. So the team and management remained, but the facade changed.

The team has since been a back-of-the-grid competitor in its first 3 seasons. These results came despite the team having Kimi Raikkonen on their roster. His experience and expertise could not change much. However, they seemed to have turned the tide in 2022 with their astute appointment of Valtteri Bottas. The team is on course to finish at their highest in the Constructor’s Championship this year. They are currently P6 with just 4 races to go for the end of the season.

But when things weren’t going so smoothly for the team, they received a helping hand. A helping hand that they would never have expected to receive. A letter from a fan named Goto. 

The letter was received by the team at Suzuka in 2019. While all contents of the letter were not disclosed, Alfa Romeo posted a picture of the letter on Twitter.

They also asked for help from fans to find Goto. “We received a special letter from a fan called Goto in Suzuka. It was heartfelt, and it was lovely, but it had no contact details! Can you help us get in touch with Goto? Or are YOU Goto reading this?” it said.

The adorable letter made all fans curious. They all wanted to know what the fan had written.

Recently Alfa Romeo released an update on the search for Goto. They had found him. A very special day was organized for him during the Japanese GP.

Fans absolutely loved the gesture from the team.
