Williams F1 were the latest in line to unveil their machinery for the upcoming 2021 F1 season. Sporting a predominantly blue-themed livery, the FW43B certainly looks like a refined and well-structured car in its photographs at least.
The team have completely switched it up from a white-and-blue livery that they had in the 2020 campaign. This time they have also gone for shades of white, yellow and black to add to the design.
So, while some F1 fans liked it, others were not so enthusiastic about it. But overall, the 2021 Williams’ car has gotten users talking about the livery either way.

The 2021 Williams F1 Racing livery garnered mixed reactions on Twitter
Much like many teams going with a different color scheme to best represent their history, traditions, and culture, Williams have also possibly gone down the same route. As some users pointed out, the colors from their largely successful days in the 1980s and 90s are seen on their car for this season.
Wow! I Like this look! It looks like they are going for the spirit of the past look, embracing its history & inspired by the golden days in the 91 & 92 with the FW14! 💙🤍💛 pic.twitter.com/HufxBAXVN6

Looks like one of the pre-made liveries straight out of F1 2020. I don't like it. But well… as long as it is fast(er).

The Grove-based outfit were, of course, at the time the most dominant team, and landed quite a few championships. They also had some stellar drivers such as Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, and the iconic Ayrton Senna, among others.
The team would want to avoid finishing last this F1 season
Fast forward to the present, and the giants have now become backmarkers. Given the 2021 cars are expected to be largely similar to their previous year’s challengers, Williams would look to invest their focus on 2022, when the newer technical regulations enter the picture.
The British outfit have retained George Russell and Nicholas Latifi as their driver pairing for the season. However, changes in ownership mean that Simon Roberts has now become the permanent team principal and Jost Capito has taken up the role of the team’s CEO.

Therefore, Williams will enter the season with moderate hopes and expectations, assessing their progress in winter testing. But at the same time, they will be cautiously optimistic of beating their nearest rivals to the punch in qualifying first up.
So, like the many fans that have remarked on Twitter, what did you make of Williams’ 2021 livery?
