F1 has finally arrived at the American continent after circling around Europe and Asia this season. And the next in line is the United States Grand Prix, scheduled later this week at the Circuit of The Americas.
Hence, quite a few drivers opted to land in the States much earlier to enjoy sightseeing. Two of them being AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly and Ferrari’s two-time Grand Prix winner, Charles Leclerc.

The two F1 drivers visited Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum arena on Tuesday night for the first NBA game of the 2021-22 season between the home team, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets.
Bucks did manage to thrash Nets amidst an incredibly dominant performance from Greek forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who garnered a total of 32 points from 14 rebounds and 7 assists.
Interestingly, Gasly and Leclerc’s visit to an American game comes days after George Russell and Alex Albon visited the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch the NFL game between Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars.
NBA legend joins F1 drivers Leclerc and Gasly for the game
In an image posted on social media, Leclerc and Gasly posed alongside former San Antonio Spurs player, Tony Parker.
The Frenchman holds onto staggering records in the game, including four championship wins in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014. Apart from that, the former point guard player has also featured in the NBA All-Star six times.
Leclerc took to Instagram to post a story of last night’s game. He wrote, “What a game! Huge thank you to Tony Parker and Rob Nelson (North Rock CEO).”

Overall, the focus now shifts to the approaching race weekend in the COTA. Leclerc, amidst recent form and Ferrari’s blinding pace, is certainly capable of battling for a podium finish alongside Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez. Meanwhile, Gasly could well be looking at yet another subtle weekend.
P6 has been the number for the Frenchman! Gasly has qualified in P6 around six times and has managed to finish the race in the same position thrice. So, with AlphaTauri showing promising signs in Turkey, can Gasly yet again capitalize on the pace to secure a strong finish in the United States?
