In a shocking turn of events, Red Bull Racing is under the spotlight as an internal investigation has been launched against the team principal, Christian Horner. Initiated by recent accusations of inappropriate behavior towards one of the employees, “the company launched an independent investigation,” a statement read. “This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister.” But what prompted this?

The nature of the allegations against Horner remains a mystery as of now. However, various reports, including those from the Dutch publication De Telegraaf, hint at “crossing boundaries” concerning a female employee within the team. Needless to say, considering the gravity of these allegations, Christian Horner’s positions as Red Bull’s team principal and chief executive have come into question.

It’s important to note that while the investigation is ongoing, Horner is getting the benefit of the doubt and is presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, rumors are circulating behind the scenes, suggesting that Christian Horner has been “friendly advised to voluntarily resign” from his position as team principal, according to a recent report from Motorsport-Total, as reported on X via RBR Daily’s account.

The energy drink giant, taking a strict stand against the serious nature of the allegations, emphasized the importance of the investigation before it can make any official statement regarding the allegations. Reports also suggest that a dossier containing the evidence has been compiled in the company’s headquarters in Fuschl, Austria. The accusations are under strict internal scrutiny, with top management deciding on the next steps and the potential consequences if the allegations turn out to be true.

While the F1 world waits to find out the result of the investigation, Christian Horner has promptly and unsurprisingly denied the allegations.
