Christian Horner might just become the David Beckham of F1, but not in the sporting sense. The troubled Red Bull Boss’ professionalism has been under the scanner since the allegations of ‘inappropriate behavior’ surfaced. His wife, Geri Halliwell, was seemingly ‘devastated’ when the investigation began, but Horner was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing. The relief, however, was short-lived as his alleged chats with the female accuser were leaked. Surprisingly, the celebrity couple is now en route to making a Beckham-like Netflix documentary to dive deeper into their relationship after this drama.
The Horner case witnessed more turns than Saudi Arabia’s F1 circuit. Red Bull’s internal tension was exposed, the accuser was sacked, and 100s of texts were immorally leaked. Horner’s reputation took a massive hit, and so did that of his marriage with Spice Girl Halliwell. The case, however, isn’t settled yet as the accuser has filed a new appeal. Amid this, the couple has been approached by a TV production company close to Netflix.
If they go through with this, they’ll most probably address the elephant in the room in the same way Netflix did with David Beckham’s alleged relationship with Rebecca Loos, during his marriage with Geri’s co-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

“The idea that has been pitched is a really personal documentary, capturing Geri and Christian at home,” a source told Mirror. “Geri loved the Beckham documentary, and it was so positively received that it is easy to see why a similar show might appeal to Geri and Christian now.”
“Following the recent speculation about their relationship, there would be a huge amount of interest in seeing them together away from the race-track and how they interact with their friends and family,” the source added.
If the British couple were to make a documentary, transparency would be of paramount importance. That is what most F1 stakeholders have been asking of Horner and Red Bull. As far as their marriage is concerned, everything has been confirmed to be “fantastic”.

Former F1 CEO spills details on Christian Horner’s marriage to Geri
When Red Bull launched an independent investigation to verify the allegations against Christian Horner, all hell broke loose. The case kept intensifying and people raised doubts over his marriage with Geri Halliwell. With time, the backlash reduced and Red Bull’s F1 operations also streamlined. But the marriage question remained, which ex-F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone, recently cleared.

“Christian informs me everything’s fantastic with Geri,” Ecclestone told the Daily Mail. “He has Geri’s support, and the whole team is doing well. There is no logical reason to upset that balance.” At least, Horner has found a “balance” that keeps him alert on the job and his family happy.
A personal documentary, if portrayed properly and authentically, could also reduce the overall dislike showered upon Red Bull. But the threat of things getting worse remains one of the possibilities.
