Martin Brundle and his infamous incident with Megan Thee Stallion reached new heights when F1 introduced the ‘Brundle Clause’ to its rules. The rule states that if celebrities are in the paddock, their bodyguards will not be allowed to accompany them. Although Brundle was affected by the incident, he washed his hands of having anything to do with the new rule.

In a recent Tweet, Brundle cleared the air around the new rule. “Talk to me, ignore me, shove, wave, hug, call me names, whatever makes you happy. All I ask is that you soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the privilege. I’ve not asked for any grid protocol changes.”

The general reaction of the fans was that if celebrities are to be brought to the grid, they should know the sport. A fair request, and one that would prevent such foul experiences.
