The Johnny Depp v Amber Heard case has been one of the most popular legal topics in recent years. Many people have been following the trial and showing support for both parties involved in the incident. Even the McLaren driver, Daniel Ricciardo, has now liked an Instagram post by Johnny Depp after the verdict.

As per the verdict, Johnny Depp has won his defamation case against Amber Heard, with a jury awarding him $15m in damages.

After the win, the American posted a message on social media. Along with Ricciardo, celebrities like Bella Hadid, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Aniston, and other popular figures around the world liked the post.

Depp’s post on the verdict has over 18 million likes on Instagram so far. However, Ricciardo remains the only F1 driver to like the post so far.

Meanwhile, on the track, the Honey Badger’s performances have been far from convincing. He has only scored points in one race so far. So, many question his future, including former F1 champion and fellow Australian Alan Jones.

Alan Jones gives his verdict on Daniel Ricciardo and his future

Daniel Ricciardo came into the 2022 season with a point to prove. Although he won a race last year, he struggled for consistency. And his poor form continued as he is currently only scored 11 points in 7 races. So, naturally, there are doubts about his future at McLaren.

Former Williams driver, Alan Jones, feels that time is not on his side. He said, “[His future at McLaren] is questionable at the moment. Unless he makes a few improvements, quick smart, I really can’t see him being there for too much longer to be honest.”

Earlier, Zak Brown also revealed that they could part ways with the Australian after this season, even though he has a contract until 2023. Jones also believes the Woking outfit could pull the plug sooner than later.

“A contract in Formula One doesn’t mean much […] but if the situation remains the same as it is I have no doubt in my mind they will exercise one of those options that are in the contract,” he added.
